The CDC recommends using a solvent or a disinfectant to remove the bacteria.

That’s because many paintball guns are made from the same materials, which can cause a bacteria-laden environment.

The EPA says paintballs can also be contaminated with toxic metals, which are known to cause serious health problems, such as cancer.

The ATF, which manufactures the gun, said it has never had any reported cases of contamination with asbestos.
